Normally, I would post every week here on the R2G, however I skipped last week due to the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. It shocked the world when a mob of protestors became violent and stormed the entrances and gained access to the Capitol building, the symbol and heart and soul of our Democracy. It made me angry, sad and vengeful all at the same time so I wanted to take some time to let it play out somewhat and to research what and how this happened. I did not want to knee-jerk react to write with anger in my heart so I waited until now to do so.
At face value, this insurrection against our government looks like just a large gang of Trump supporters or what I call Trumpanzees, who got up enough nerve to follow a few radicals and to break into The Capitol. However, as the days unfolded, it appears that this was much more than that. It was an organized seize on our government by multiple radical, white supremacist and anti-government groups to stalk and kill members of Congress and even the Vice President himself. They were hell bent on taking the Capitol by force and to assassinate and lynch multiple members of Congress. Hell, they even assembled a makeshift gallows with a rope and noose outside the building. Make no mistake here, this was an effort to overthrow our government.

So, who was really involved in this mess? This entire debacle was organized and fueled by multiple sources including the President himself, Donald Trump. The Trumpster solicited his supporters
to come to Washington D.C., gather for a rally and to march down
Pennsylvania Avenue to The Capitol by saying, "You have to show strength". His #1 crony Rudy Giuliani fired up
the crowd by saying, "If we're wrong, we will be made fools of, but if we're right a lot of them will go to jail. Let's have a trial by combat". Alabama Senator Mo Brooks in his speech told the crowd, " Today is the day American patriots start taking down names and kicking ass". I have no idea why anyone would heed the words of a guy named Mo. All I can think of is Moe from the 3 Stooges. If these are not statements to incite an already violent crowd I am not sure what are.

It doesn't stop here though. The insurrection goes deeper; it was entrenched in Congress itself. Republican Senators Josh Hawley of Missouri and Ted Cruz of Texas joined the big lie that the election was stolen. Even after order was restored, Senators Tommy Tuberville (Ala.), Roger Marshall (Kan.), John Kennedy (Loui.) and Cindy Hyde-Smith (Miss.) all joined Hawley and Cruz to object to the Electoral College results even AFTER the siege. In fact, Josh Hawley was photographed giving the protestors a fist in the air as he walked to the Capitol. Let me tell you it doesn't stop here. In the House of Representatives 121 members, all Republicans supported an objection to the election results AFTER the insurrection. I would list them all but I won't for the sake of space. There is more if you can believe it. As the investigation moves forward on the siege of The Capitol, it is being found that current and former members of law enforcement and fire and rescue companies from all over the country as well as a few members of the Capitol Police themselves were involved. Hell, a member of the Capitol Police force was filmed taking a selfie with one of the rioters. State government representatives including West Virginia Republican Derrick Evans who filmed himself inside The Capitol building were arrested for illegal entry. He has since resigned from his position on the House of Delegates in West Virginia. I have to add here that this idiot actually filmed himself and posted it on social media as did many of the other morons.
The Bottom Line here is this insurrection against the United States of America runs very deep. It runs through the veins of radicals who either support Donald Trump or are using him as a vehicle to spread their vileness. It is a cancer on our nation that must be cut out by the roots. This cannot be left alone. The people responsible including Trump and his minions must be held accountable for their actions. Swift and decisive justice must be dealt out for everyone to see or it is going to happen again and again. I fear for our country right now and you should as well because this could be the start of another civil war. Friend against friend, neighbor against neighbor and relative against relative.
