The 12 Gripes Of Christmas

The GRIPE went on the road this weekend to our nations capital Washington DC. Sorry we missed the Gripe Of Christmas yesterday, but a road trip was in order. Two quick observations before I get to the 12 Gripes Of Christmas. #1, the roads in Virginia were great, the roads in DC were good, the roads in Maryland were excellent and the roads in Pennsylvania just plain stink! I will gripe this right after Christmas. #2, As I approached DC, I saw a sign that made me laugh so hard I almost wet myself. The sign said, "The George Bush Center For Intelligence". It must be an empty building or lot. Anyway onto The 12 Gripes Of Christmas.

On the 7th Day of Christmas the county gave to me...

Judge Ciavarella
The Commissioner no one heard of
Greg Skrepenak
Corruption in the Courthouse
Reassessment Debacle
Greco and his TV's
And the bogus Levy Fee

Mark "Kids For Cash" Ciavarella was indicted by a federal grand jury back in September of 2009 for racketeering, fraud, money laundering, extortion, bribery, and federal tax violations and that they received millions of dollars in illegal payments. Along with the criminal charges, the indictment seeks the forfeiture of at least $2,819,500 which is alleged to be the proceeds of the charged criminal activity. This one of many county indictments sent the people of NEPA reeling in their shoes. How could and elected judge, a man who swears on a bible that he will uphold the law actually break the law in so many ways? Well folks this dirt ball did just that! His crimes are so heinous that it boggles the imagination. It was so bad that ABC's 20/20 did a story on it. Ciavarella was putting juveniles away in a detention center for minor crimes like fights in school and shoplifting and then taking a kickback from their cronies. Here is what ABC News wrote on their web site, "Ciavarella and Conahan, who face up to 7 years in prison, had devised a plot to use their positions as judges to pad their pockets. They shut down the old county-run juvenile detention center by first refusing to send kids there and, then, by cutting off funds, choking it out of existence. They then replaced the facility with a cash cow -- a privately owned lockup built by the judges' cronies -- and forged a deal for the county to pay $58 million for a 10-year period for its use. At the time Conahan was serving as president judge of the Luzerne County Common Pleas Court, a position that allowed him to control the county-court budget. Ciavarella was the Luzerne County juvenile court judge". This makes me sick! Of course, The Jerk-off Judge is fighting every single charge which is stringing this thing out and causing the tax payers lots of cash. I am a tax payer and I say enough is enough. Put this guy in shackles like he did to those kids, strip him down, give him a full cavity search and dress him in that wonderful orange jump suit. Lube him up for Leroy and get him checked into the crowbar hotel. No country club jail for this scum bag! As I write this Gripe I am becoming more and more enraged! I get more and more enraged because it has been over one year now and this guy is still on the streets. If it were you or I, we would have been locked up that day! What else really ticks me off is that I predicted some time ago that this crook would not spend one single minute in the slammer. He will string this thing out until he breathes no more. That alone is a crime in itself.
