Rob Mericle - Only A Miracle Will Put Him In Jail

I just read on timesleader.com that NEPA business and realty tycoon or should I say baboon Rob Mericle may have his plea bargain agreement with the Feds amended. Believe it or not, the G-Men want to change it from the minimum sentence to more up to the max for obstructing and impeding the administration of justice. Well, its about freakin' time. This slob has been suckling off the teat of the system for his entire life. He buys and develops properties in bogus KOZ zones and pockets tons of dough. If you are not familiar with the KOZ zones, these are properties that have their taxes deferred for a period of time to allow the owners to fix them up and use them without getting burdened with high taxes. They were made to help distressed areas like NEPA attract businesses. Of course, this guy has taken total advantage of this while pocketing millions. He is just like our friend Thom "The Tick" Greco. Who Is "Watch"ing The Guards

Luminox Blackout I picked up The Times Leader off of my front porch yesterday and took a quick glance at the front page to see what was going on in the valley as I walked back into my house. I noticed the picture of a watch which looked like it may be a Tag Heuer. It caught my eye because I own a Tag and can testify that it is a great watch with a hefty price tag. I however, did not buy my Tag. I actually found it on the beach in Wildwood many years ago. Anyway, after reading the story and of course blowing a gasket I found that this watch was a Luminox Blackout. It seems that three prison corrections officers purchased these military style watches with their county funded uniform allowance money. Guards were informed that starting on January 1st, they must all have watches. Of course now retired Luzerne County Prison Warden Joseph Piazza issued this directive but never stated what kind of watch or how expensive of a watch these zoo keepers can purchase. Wilkes-Barre Cops - Donuts Are Hot!

Tuesday night the donuts at Dunkin must have been hot because our men in blue, the Wilkes-Barre Police were missing in action. A friend of mine, I'll call her JM, had her purse stolen at Chacko's Family Bowling Center by a few scum bags who cased the joint and then made their slimy move. After looking all over the place, inside and out, we called 911 to report the crime. The first call was placed at about 9:00 pm. After waiting about 30 minutes, another call was placed to 911 with the question as to when the cops were going to arrive. The dispatcher told us that the police were very busy and would get there when they could. Now, let me ask you this. On a Tuesday night with temperatures dipping into the teens, how busy could an entire police force be? I'll tell you, they were not! These slackers just don't like to respond to these types of calls because it means more paperwork. If it was a DUI, 12 police cars would be there along with the K9 unit and Ryan Lecky
